I Am The Curse

Lyrics

No gods remember the names we lost…
only the silence left behind by the cost.

I woke in the ruins of what I once was,
with ash in my lungs and no reason or cause.
The world felt чужer, cold and gray,
like it never learned my name anyway.

I followed voices through fractured ground,
each step grew heavier, carved in sound.
And every figure that crossed my way,
looked like a warning of what I’d become someday.

But something inside me already knew…
this isn’t happening to me — it’s becoming true.

This is the curse that becomes you!
It eats every light that once held you through!
It speaks in your voice when you beg for grace,
it learns your name and replaces your face.
And when you think you’ve finally broken free…
you’re staring at what’s left of me!

I met a figure in bloodless rain,
no face to remember, no clear domain.
It said: “You are not the victim you claim…”
and carved my reflection into my name.

I tried to run, but the roads collapsed,
reality folding in on itself at last.
Every exit became the same dead end,
every beginning refused to end.

And I understood in a flicker of truth…
there is no boundary between me and you.

This is the curse that becomes you!
It eats every light that once held you through!
It speaks in your voice when you beg for grace,
it learns your name and replaces your face.
And when you scream for another way…
it answers from inside your decay!

I thought I was hunted…
I thought I had fallen…
but the hunter was only my own hollow.

It didn’t come for me…
it became me.

This is the curse that becomes you!
There is no escape from what you grew!
It’s not in the dark, it’s under your skin,
it’s every ending you’ve ever been in.
And when the world forgets your name and face…
the curse is still wearing your place.

I am not cursed…
I am the curse.
